Hi again!

Here are some more idéas for jamroom. Not beeing a coder my self I like to contribute this way. Thank you for your hard work making jamroom better every day..

Things i really would need in the future:

* Advanced search (Check out the search engine to the left for thomann.de for example.) Filter results,

* song lists filter function

Say a long list with songs...But I like to sort them by form fields, length, price etc? Like a button or menu above ..., sort by popularity, price high to low etc...like in many web shops.

* way to upload files in bulk and files that are larger than 64 mb without messing with the server (Or mayby this is possible with the new jamroom cloud bundle or jamroom hosting - have not tried yet!

* different sign up pages for different quotas

* audio player at a fixed location at the bottom of the screen, not the footer, but in front. All audio routed throu there..

* Privacy audio, video etc
Is it possible to hide songs and other media forms from the search engine and from the cart system from the create audio form? For example if a song is beeing written between 2 users. Let it stay hidden until its finished and ready to be published.

* Let admin add other users songs to site bundles. Sell albums with multiple artists for example...

* Possible for customer to add entire playlists and favorites/my likes directly to cart?

* possible to sell mp3 for a lower price, although the original file is for ex wav. Wav at higher price?

* Group Support: Make it possible to invite people to join groups from profile - by user name, instead of applying for membership.

* possible to change, add items or hide the MAIN horisonal skin menu from ACP.

* possible to have an PAYPAL express checkout button or process alongside foxycart?

* possible to add variables for example song list row or chart with site builder or module from admin ACP? for ex. song title - bit rate - note about intruments - dat created - add to cart ...etc

Bug - profile tweaks:
Skins not translating well to profile page. Menues are off and in solo skin it is not possible to upload image to replace logo.

IMG, CSS and JS lost when updating skin

Hi!

Just wondering. I have uploaded images, css files and third party js files to my skin directory. When the skin is updated they are lost and have to be reuploaded. I have tried to upload images for example throu admin image support, but the are not transfered to the new skin version. Is there a workaround for this somehow that I can do from my end, so all addon files will follow along to next version? Kindest regards

Hello!

I like jamroom and I think it is a great platform with a lot of potentials. Great work with the new version.

I do miss some functions from jamroom 4 and I also think that it could do so much more... Therefore I like to give you a wishlist with functions that I really would like to have and that I think could be great to add to jamroom.

This are just ideas - have no idea how hard it it so make these happend since I´m not a programmer, but just a vision... Forgive me if similar subject allready have been mentioned on this forum.

1 MULTPLE SIGNUP PAGES WITH DIFFERENT TERMS AND FORM FIELDS:


Make it possible to have multiple sign up pages for specific quotas like in jr4.

Allow uses in a specific quota to use the solo artist skin - but keep the site skin for the rest. Combined with foxycart subscriptions for example - when time is up profile reverts to a simpler site skin.

If the user continue to subsribe or resubscribe they can have their solo artist skin site back with their content intact.


2 PRIVATE COLLABORATION PAGE FOR ONE USER TO INVITE ANOTHER TO:

Give users the means to create a collaboration page in private (not for public eyes
where they can invite specific users - for example if you write music and you invite another musician to write lyrics or do versions of the same song. That you can do
filelists chronologicly with comments. (For instanse. "I like what you did with the guitar in that earlier clip, but it was better in the previous version" ) Also post youtube clips, videos and all the rest

like that....

Maybye even video/audio conference with webcams?


3 SELL/UPLOAD BIG FILES VIA FTP UPLOAD OR SIMILAR:


The big file sollution (Multi upload from jr4) where you could upload large files to your server and bypass the maximum file size issue with certain hosting providers.

For instanse if you want to sell high resolution images or vids for pro use, 64mb is not gonna cut it.


4 PROFILE ON OFF FUNKTIONS

If you want a social site: great! If your just selling stuff and don´t care so much about showing your picture and telling your life story. Can´t all functions like profile image, the entire idéa with the

profile page, links to profil page from ranking rows etc etc - just make it possible, for the admin, to simply turn them on or off.


5 SLURP FILES FROM OTHER SITES OR SERVERS

Is it possible to upload for example music on soundcloud and video on vimeo in high resolution and link to that account when you sell your products or SLURP over the files to the server where jamroom is

hosted and then integrate them into the database like if you had uploaded it throu Add song funtionality?


6 ADVANCED SEARCH

Modifyable search function that allows you to search for ex: a, b, c all together, all world or exact match. Not d.. etc and echo the results back to html. With form fields, lot of radio buttons, select list

etc. Mayby on a seperate page or like a long option list on index?


7 ADMIN CAN SEE AND LISTEN TO ALL SONGS ON ONE PAGE BACKEND ADMIN :

Simple: let admin see lists of all media, music and video files and preview them and
say yes or no if they are aloud on the site - on one page that does not need to be refreshed. Kinda like a BULK-approve songs function ...


8 REPORT MISSUSE OF SITE - MEDIA FUNCTION

What if someone uploads, for instance, Madonnas lates hit and claims it as his or her own
composition or inapprorpiate or illegal material? Can users simply click a FLAG button to alert the admin to check it out?


9 ATTATCH PDF FILE TO FOR EXAMPLE MUSIC FILES

LET USERS DOWNLOAD/BUY MUSIC AND INCLUDED SHEET MUSIC/LYRICS IN PDF or text format?


10 CLONE AUDIO MODULE - MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO SELL SOUNDS OTHER THAN MUSIC

If I like to sell sound files (like in sfx, music samples for music creations, ringtones etc)
and/or music. they are different from how you like to add them with custom form fields when selling music.
Sounds might not need composer name, genre etc

Mayby it possible to make a clone of the entire modul and rebuild it to fit another media form...


11 ADVERTISING MODULE

Sell adds/affiliate adds and similar sharing programs with separate module...



12 LINK USER ACCOUNT TO MULTPLE JAMROOM INSTALLATIONS / BRIDGE


For instance. ONE SITE is all about music with one skin - the OTHER SITE is all about
VIDEO like a youtube clone - ONE LOGIN POSSIBLE?
