Cacheing media file in player.

It seems that when we change pages and the media player re-loads, it's re-requesting the file instead of playing the locally cached file that was already requested. How can we avoid this? This would result in tremendous use of BW as a person navigates the site; especially if you have large files.

I think it would be enough to link to the file; as long as it was secured and could only be accessed by the account holder

Policing inappropriate content

Is there any tools or modules for policing or flagging inappropriate content? For example, how do you prevent people from uploading pornographic images as a profile picture or media image?

I'm would guess we would need a module that allows users to "Flag a innapropriiate" and if a profile/image gets x # of flags, it is made unavailable pending admin review. Then admin would have block/unblock content permanently from control panel.

Is there anything available like this? What other methods are used?

That would simplify things. One thing that we did custom was to do some ADDITIONAL conversions on upload so if a user provides us with WAV or FLAC, we end up with three formats: wav, flac, and 320 mp3. Then at the time of download, the end user can choose which format they want the files in.

Note the change involve 2 release updates. Perhaps it was something in 1.0.6. We also updated the core.
