I am in the area of 'The Page Group Config tool allows you to assign imported Ning Pages to specific Groups, or to 'stand alone' pages" and completely get the idea.

Only, there seem to be pages that belong to groups I KNOW exist, which are not listed. It appears only the groups I created are listed as possible groups to transfer the pages to. (and maybe not even all of them)

@Paul, tagging you on this since you helped with import.
FYI- I am just now getting started on working with groups. At this point I don't even know where to find them, but am heading back to the video tutorial to watch.

But do you think all the groups made it over?

I figured it out with a combination of your answers. @Michael, 'content' got me to the background colors but not the font color. @covertlogic , I searched for 'body' instead of 'content' and found the body text in the CSS file and found it there!

For future reference, is there an easy way to edit the CSS file without having to download it/upload it? I have some experience with CSS code, but prefer to keep it as easy as possible when messing with it so I don't mess it up.

Okay, so I found the template (thx, Paul) and put this code in with the search items over the top of the previous code. (see below)

I then went to my Activity page http://restministriessunroomcom.jamroomhosting.com/activity

...and I think it is okay. I am not sure why Mary Lou's post are repeating. Maybe because she uploaded multiple photos and it shows her gallery each time she did so?

Also, I just want the titles of the blog posts, not the entire posts, in the feed. I have tried to figure that one out, but no luck.

Ideas? Thank you!!

@strumelia , you are speaking my language. I have been spoiled by all the WP plugins for years...

I want to use a slider to make some images of the hot topics every couple weeks, in the forums and then link the sliders to the forums.

My audience has gotten stuck in the rut of a lot of conversation in groups that is quick posts and replies and less solid "value" of individual posts.

The new people could really use a solid, helpful forum for common topics to feel, as they are gradually finding their way around. I know the images/links would help forums become a bit more interesting.

Which is why they use them in forums like http://www.cafemom.com/
