Installation and Configuration

I have a question similar to this topic: https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/forum/ning-to-jamroom/16092/organizing-after-import-questions/search_string=forum+category but want to make sure I understand how to do it.

If I have

Forums//
The topics for example could be:
(1) Illness and Parenting
(2) Illness and Marriage
(3) Illness and Careers

... and people would post their questions under the right category-- I don't understand the pages/profile relationship to the forums yet. Are there detailed instructions on this?

(Am a few hours from final download and will be ordering Ning to JR Thursday sometime. Yay!)

Ning to Jamroom - Step by Step Link is broken

Ning To Jamroom

thank you! I just posted a question about estimating space regarding JR hosting. I am trying to decide between my VPS and having a dedicated hosting with you. Appreciate your help. If I go with JR hosting, I will likely just have you do it for me with the Ning transfer as well.

Estimating hosting costs

Jamroom Hosting

I am transferring my files from Ning (downloading/archiving now) to JR. I am trying to estimate hosting prices with JR. I have a hostgator VPS but lately it has been cutting my site off a few times a day for a few minutes and they aren't sure why yet. I am leery about adding more load to it. I am already paying Ning $60 (ugh) so have the budget. If I have about 200 mb of data, but plenty I could delete and clean up, would the plan of:: 2 CPU • 2GB RAM • 48GB Disk • 3TB Transfer • $ 59 / month likely fit my needs do you think? I have many members, etc. but many are from years ago. I want to clean things up and start with a fresh look, not 5-year-old discussions. Due to your knowledge/support/features I would prefer to do hosting with JR and have you do the transfer for me, but I don't want to get in over my head with costs and I am not good at figuring out the numbers when it comes to memory, etc.

Ning to Jamroom - Step by Step Link is broken

Ning To Jamroom

I am trying to locate the "Step by Step: Install on your own hosting" post that is in the green box on this page: http://www.jamroom.net/ning-to-jamroom ... The link to https://www.jamroom.net/ning-to-jamroom/documentation/ning2jamroom says "file not found." thought I'd see how far I could get. thanks!
