User Privacy Settings Don't Seem to Have Right Descriptions

Hello there Brian. It's not working that way on my site. I use my account Dave, and I can't see the shared account at all. Linne doesn't show up on the Artists list--her quota. I can't follow because I can't get to the profile even with a search. So I figured that shared means they have to be a member and a follower both, to see her profile. Funny thing is, I just set her profile to Private and checked again, and I still couldn't see it from Dave. Something wrong with her profile?

Okay, turning off Virus protection didn't do it. I changed the email address. Please respond again. By the way, I did get my invoice from Talldude Networks a few minutes ago at the old email address.

I checked my SPAM settings at my email provider, and they are turned off. I have now turned off my virus protection to see if that's the culprit. Please respond to this.

Okay, here's a response. I've checked my other threads to make sure it's turned on, and it is, but I'm not getting any emails about new posts. Like, I didn't get one for what you just posted above.

I gave up on installing on iPage, and went to Jamroom hosting. That works much better.

The topic notification button was clicked on here, but I didn't get an email to tell me you had responded there Ultrajam. I just happened to notice there was another post on the list, and checked it.

I'm on this bandwagon! I think an update button on here is critical and should be standard. Not having that is one of the first complaints I got with my new site. And, I have needed it myself as copying, pasting into a new comment, and correcting doesn't work well--it changes the fonts to small smaller font that is hard to read. And I didn't see where the editor gives you options for font type and size. Did I miss it?

I've noticed that I'm not getting emails to let me know when someone responds to my forum posts or to a forum topic that I've posted on. So, I have to remember what I've posted, or click on My Posts, and go back to check to see if there is a response or new entries. I have my notifications set to email me when "forum updated" but it isn't working. Is there something I don't understand about how this is supposed to work?
