Trying to get a (scrollbar)* slider on Activity Feed

Using Jamroom

Hi Michael,
I was a bit worried you would say something like that, since I have no CSS knowledge at all.

You had a tabs that said "log in" and "create account". I couldn't see much more than that, since you can see only your front page.

So what it is is a way to scroll the contents of a module up and down. You can find them on the personal pages. If you used the Ninga skin, they were there on your homepage, too.

Making a log in/ sign up page

Using Jamroom

Hi Douglas,

It was an idea, since I saw it on Strumelia's site. But I am also unsure how to modify sign up questions, so I thought that might be an easier route to go.

Hi Doulas,
That can't be. When I had just the Ninga skin it had sliders. The moment I decided to use SB, they went away.

Can using the Form Designer be explained in readable, unabbreviated English in Documentation?

Strumelia,
Quote: But the form designer has been a big stumbling block for me...just speaking for myself.
I've seen your site, and it doesn't look that way to me! :)

Making a log in/ sign up page

Using Jamroom

I am having a problem with making a sign in/ sign up page. I found in the documentation for this here:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/documentation/howto/603/howto-add-the-user-login-form-to-any-page

The directions read:
Place this code into the template where you want the login form to be displayed.

So I have looked for where to put it, but I am not sure. I am using SB and I tried pasting directly into a module, but it didn't work. Then I tried t find a templet, but that is where I get lost.

I just made a whopper of a mistake yesterday, so I don't want to mess around and make another mistake. Can anyone give me some guidance?

This is true Gary. I have almost no html skills and that is what I find the hardest part.

Strumelia is right. It is slow but steady knowledge.
I can give you a little idea of how to deal with some of the items on the style editor.
When dealing with actual design, keep two tabs open. One to your site and the other to the style editor. When you make a change, refresh your tab with the page to your actual site, and see what it does.
As for the functions, kind of trial and error. I have made mistakes (I just did a whopper myself), but I chalk that up to learning. :)
