Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

Hi Douglas,
I am not sure why but suddenly, it's working. Very odd, but happy that it's fixed!

Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

OK we tested it Douglas, and still there is no way to embed videos. Not sure why. Could it be permissions?

Thanks Douglas! It was checked, so I unchecked it. I'll let you know if my beta testers can embed.

Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

Michael,
What I would like is that each of my members to be able to embed, not just any user. Is that possible? (I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing).

And Michael, while I have your ear, how do I change the 60 sec time out for posting? I can't seem to find it.

Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

perrie:
I just installed it Michael, but I still don't understand why I could upload videos but my beta testers couldn't.

Update, it didn't work for my beta testers. And I am still unsure why they don't see all the embeds that I do. All they can do is upload a photo.

Here is what they are seeing

Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

Michael,
I am not quite sure I understand what you mean. My members like to post youtube videos into discussion posts. Would making the above change allow that, without allowing non members to do that? What do you mean by: "That allows all users to embed other users stuff. Thats not allowed by default but if you remove that limitation any user can add any other users public stuff to their blog posts etc."

Question regarding media permissions

Using Jamroom

Hi Everyone,
I am having certain members beta test my new site, and they can't find any of the media like youtube when they click on the media icon, but I have it. I am assuming this is because of the permissions. I am only showing 3 choices there, community quota, example quota, and moderator quota. I have clicked apply to all quotas but still no one has it but me. How do I fix this?
Thanks!
