Brian - I thought if Signups were not allowed for a quota then the quota was not visible on the signup form (and in account settings).

Tag Cloud items for Profiles?

I have double-checked the Skin (custom) Global config and everything is configured properly.

I may need to clarify:

There is a tag cloud on my (and others') profiles. That's not the issue.

However, the tags on those profiles don't show up in the tag cloud on the home page and there is no tab in the "All Tags" page that displays them.

It would be valuable - I think - if the tags on profiles could be made visible outside the profile they were created in.

A note from a member transferring over from Ning:

"I keep getting an error message when I click on "Forgot Login" see below:

JSON response error: {"notices":[{"type":"error","text":"Form Validation missing - please refresh and try again."}]}

I reset the password for them and checked to make sure that the email address was correct.

What can I do to fix this?

I got an email from a potential member this morning saying that they wanted to create an account and got the following error:

"Invalid Signup Account Type - please ensure you are choosing a valid Signup Account Type”.

What do I need to do to fix this?

Tag Cloud items for Profiles?

I added some tags to a member profile.

They don't appear to be in the tag cloud on the home page ... and there is no tag cloud tab for Profiles when I click on "All" tags.

Are tags on profiles deliberately being overlooked?

That bit about private profiles not being indexed by search engines (not just Google, right?) is really good news for some people.

I commend you on the decision to architect the system this way. Good job.

Have to move off Arvixe NOW -- Linode? Digital Ocean? Other?

This is all very helpful info. I am getting about 450 on my Arvixe "business" class server for $30 w/cPanel.

As a part of setting up the server they will do *one* site transfer for you, with limitations on the amount of data transferred. They did a cPanel backup of my site (about 30 gigs), moved it to another server, and unpacked everything and it worked once I got the config files right. It took them about 6 hours to make the transfer and another couple of hours for me to check that the site was okay and then do the DNS stuff I needed to do.

What I think we're doing here by sharing this stuff is getting some baseline for what hosting services will do at different price levels. More importantly, finding competent freelancers who can do the work is also important - and I may get back to you on that front when I decide to upgrade.
