Where is the Installation Documentation?

Profile Badges

Strumelia:
Any updates on this yet? I will need to be using badges with my Ningja skin, and I'd love to be able to change the badge text and add my custom badge images. Possible?

Yes all of the images in the module are changeable to any kind of badge you like. There is also a blank template for you included.

ProJam Video Category Question

Design and Skin Customization

@john-bizley I would suggest using the Form Designer.

Here is a video @Michael did incase you have not see it yet.

https://www.udemy.com/developers-guide-to-customizing-jamroom/#/lecture/728038

** When you import a video from youtube it will also import the category. You can edit that however and change it to the categories you have set in the Form Designer.

So you can change out / set any of the names to anything you want there only relative.

Let me know if that helps.

Changing text

Profile Badges

The Vip ones are set up if you have subscriptions via foxycart module and you can add an additional grafix to those members. lets say you have a member you want to display as a paid bass player simply move them to "vip member" and it will display the image set for member + the vip badge.

Changing text

Profile Badges

An easy way to set up as is would be.. lets say you have a quota called bass players. as your first quota.

You would want to link the badge type as -> members in the myBadge module quota config to that bass players quota. once thats set just replace the image for member_badge.png in the image set to your new one for "bass players"

Changing text

@claygordon

I can change the text in the module to reflect badge1, badge2, badge3 instead of member, artist, dj, ect.. but the text would not appear on the grafix files as they are static images.

Every site is different and your required to add your own if necessary. I have included blank templates to make it very easy to add any name you would like, moreover. I am going over this module this morning and there is a couple areas I can improve it which I am working on, however I am confused to the reason your unable to get it working as is and would like to help.

Thanks

Jamroom Developers

perrie:
I have been having a discussion with Paul about Ning's forum and how many people actually use and need it. I realize that my group might be unique in it's needs, so I was wondering how many other Ningsters use the forum and need it be be threaded (even a simple two tier threading) with WYSIWYG editor.

Not sure if this will help you folks out but I have a Phpbb 3.0.12 bridge for Jamroom 5 available. Theres a ton of mods and skins available (free open source) https://www.phpbb.com/
It does require advanced install and a modification to one file inside your phpbb.(drag/drop in your ftp)

Once complete it then sits inside of your Jamroom file structure like yoursite.com/forum/ and ALL Jamroom accounts are then syncronized 100% to the phpbb forum. Just add the forum to your menu.

https://www.jamroom.net/b360/networkmarket/110/myphpbb-3012-jamroom-bridge

I hope this helps.

* Also to add it works even if you have 1000's of members already installed to an existing site / import so it can be added anytime and ALL accounts will sync.
