Qustion about what type of site content is allowed on Jamroom hosting

Jamroom Hosting

Thanks Brian and paul for this fantastic news, my other half Scarlett is now a very happy bunny indeed :-) We will be starting building this at the end of the month on one of your higher plans so it's nice and speedy. Looking forward to getting this project of the ground :-)

Qustion about what type of site content is allowed on Jamroom hosting

Jamroom Hosting

I want to use Jamroom hosting to open a Burlesque site and would like to know if this type of content will be ok.

Here is one example of the type of photos that may be added from the end of a performance.

Time line BG color

Using Jamroom

izhmel:
Where do I edit in the css to change the BG color of the gray

http://www.dubmusic.com/the-scientist/action

Would that not be this: #timeline { background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% #CCC; } as the background for the .item is set to transparent to show the grey for the timeline, if you just change .item that will change the colour for all with the class .item

Reset your icon cache:

ACP -> Reset Caches - check the "Reset Icon Cache".

Not sure why that would happen on a URL change, but that should fix it for you.

Did that and also integrity check and still the same for the icons. Noticed to it changeed the icons throughout the site not just in videos, I may try removing it then re-install it to see if that makes any difference.

No - it has nothing to do with that. Resetting the icon cache is what is needed - do a full refresh on your browser.

Thanks Brian, all working now :-)

And here is the page which appears when this create album is clicked on, as you can see it is just a list of videos even though in the url for the page it's saying create album like this http://1940snetwork.com/video/create_album

OK I believe I know what the issue is here - on install the Combined Video module changes the URL of your "normal" video module to:

uploaded_video

So go into the ACP -> Media -> Video Support -> Info tab and set the Module URL to "uploaded_video" and save.

That should have been automatic on install - I'm not sure why that would have failed, but check your Debug Log and let me know if you see any MySQL errors related to that.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks Brian, that did the trick but it also changed all the icons in the buttons.

Create Album in combined videos issue and filter suggestion

My site is fully updated and my acp says no system updates all modules up to date.
This is the combined video module I am using from my profile page.

I like the combined videos module but one thing is that in the menu there is a create album button but when clicked it just brings up a page listing videos and does not seem to be a way to create an album.

Also one suggestion might be to have a little filter drop down or selection box's in the videos title area so you can filter out the different types of videos if you wanted to. So let's say I wanted to just see uploaded videos then I could select that option and it would filter out just those, same for youtube, vimeo etc.

Microsoft are offering Windows 10 upgrade for free though, here is the part of an email I had from Microsoft about that

' You could upgrade to Windows 10 for free
We will offer a free upgrade to Windows 10 for qualified new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices that upgrade in the first year!** And even better: once a qualified Windows device is upgraded to Windows 10, we will continue to keep it up to date for the supported lifetime of the device, keeping it more secure and introducing new features and functionality over time – for no additional charge. '

*Prerelease product shown; screen simulated, subject to change. Features, devices and available apps vary by market. Apps from the Windows Store, sold separately.
**It is our intent that most of these devices will qualify, but some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by device. Devices must be connected to the Internet and have Windows Update enabled. ISP fees may apply. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required. Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise and Windows RT/RT 8.1. Active Software Assurance customers in volume licensing have the benefit to upgrade to Windows 10 enterprise offerings outside of this offer. We will be sharing more information and additional offer terms in coming months.

I have had a look at some videos and also tried it out on a demo machine, works great but will wait a good 6mths or so before upgrading as drivers will need to come out for my printers etc before I use it, my printers are not your bog standard printers as they are pro photo large format printers so they for sure will not be included in Windows 10 driver list.
