Using Jamroom

I know the answers are here, but the biggest issue I am finding is that there is just so MUCH to digest here. Mostly because I am just learning Jamroom, and that I am a bit overwhelmed in how to approach. I had a HUGE Ning 3.0 site built. And how to move two years worth of work just has me like a deer in the headlights. Am I missing, but are there How To's on each module, etc and same for site builder?

Site security...Is social media the future we thought?

Recent events have really brought site security, and web security as a whole, to the fore. What does everyone see as the future? Is cyber attack going to become the norm, and how much are we laying ourselves out in the open for our sites to be used for tools of cyber warfare?

I may have even noted this elsewhere, but trying to figure out how to keep everything organized using Jamroom, here and on my site.

How does a person use their profile to see what they are following...do any of the skins/modules have such?

Thanks Gary...and I know I may be coming in with guns blazing on questions and critiques, but making sure of what we have here before spend months on site development, only to be disappointed (yeah, NING has made me an ass)

How does/is the addition of modules and 3rd party add ons affecting everyone's speeds? Are any issues developing with this, especially any larger sites?

Suggestions

Screenshots do not allow a person to go thru the offering and see how it works and all the features available. Just seems pretty reasonable for this to exist. They could be Jamroom sites with their own domain. Seems like if they went to all the trouble to build and hope to generate cash, they would be willing to have some way to display their product in best light.
