Ning sign up questions

Ning To Jamroom

Saw that - just thought it was a perfect thread to ask a question on. Hmph, so I have to import first. Oh well, I know what I'll be reading up on next. Thanks Paul

Ning sign up questions

Ning To Jamroom

I have not imported yet. Can I still create "different" profile questions? Haven't been able to locate this within the forums nor going thru the Modules area. It seems to require the import to be accomplished and those old questions/answers imported.

I'd like to create some new ones (and keep some of the old ones) which I realize (new ones) will be "empty" when I import but I'd like to take the new site launch as an opportunity to redefine that area; especially when it comes to new signups.

Is this possible?

No Spellcheck? I'm surprised

Suggestions

It just doesn't like me. It takes the code, I enabled it (checked the box) and saved and I ran an integrity check just to be safe. No go. Doesn't appear in the Editor or work.

Nothing has gone right for me today. I hate being nonproductive.

I'm done for the day. I'll give my brain a night to reset and start fresh tomorrow. Thank you @ultrajam. Have a good one.

A typical member will type directly into the editor and not have a back up copy.

Michael I checked the code area (neglected to mention that) and yep, everything was gone. http://screencast.com/t/NTeuYjRYQwky

I'm going to re-copy and post the full piece agian but wondered if is a glitch that anyone else has experienced. A recovery program sure would come in handy.

Thanks

No Spellcheck? I'm surprised

Suggestions

I can't guarantee that my members will even bother to check their browser (they're so accustomed to it being built in) but I'm using FF 35.0.1 and when I type in a editor, here's what it looks like (no error warnings while typing)

No I didn't see the option for a spell check extension in my editor. Will double check that.

Oh well. I'll have to accept it is what it is. Thanks guys!

idk about anyone else but my members have horrible spelling and I'm surprised JR doesn't have that built into their forum area. Sure, members can choose to ignore the spelling but I for one, love it when I'm told "hey idiot you have too many lll's in that word".

I edited this post http://stockbuz2.net/kos/blog/2/us-immigration-illegals-not-going-anywhere and moved the very first paragraph from the top to the bottom of the post, changed a few words and saved it. Now it only displays the first paragraph of the post and then displays this:

%%jrBlog_pager%%

The rest of the post is completely is gone.

Does JR have their own version of "auto recover" where you can grab the last saved version of a post? I hate so bring up "you know who" but that was a lifesaver so many times for our members; especially if the accidentally wiped out part of a post or their browser crashed unexpectedly. Here was their announcement on it http://bit.ly/1BXPrxk

I realize I can re-copy the old post and paste it back but my members who are typing, won't have that option. They'll lose everything.

Maybe I just have a buggy website. lol
