Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

Yes, it is the same host as I used previously.
What I’ll try next is uploading a Jamroom test site to my existing host. But before I do that please could you remove the dead site (ringed in red) from my account, as that suggests that I am currently using two Jamroom licences, when in fact I am only using one, having surrendered one of them last year. Just the clarify, the site “regal-network.com/france“ is the one not used.

Thank you.

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

I decided in the end not to rent the VPS.
When I used Jamroom previously I didn’t have any problems with the video and audio converters. Maybe if I reinstall the software it would resolve the problems, and maybe not use a sub-directly? Could I move all the files to the public_html folder, or would this create major problems?

If I used your hosting, would my current Jamroom website be automatically transferred to your server? Or would it need a fresh install?

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

michael: Whats going to be of more of a concern for you is will they help you setup the VPS.

OK, yes they leave the user to setup and manager their our VPS, but provide a Plesk control panel (or cPanel at £10 extra), which works out at GBP 17.99+20% VAT per month for the Plesk based VPS. Their managed servers work out more expensive than Jamroom. I’ll look into the Plesk panel in more detail before I decide what to do.

Thank you for your help and advice, which is always appreciated. 👍

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

douglas:
You'll want to ask your hosting if you can run binary files on your server and if so what directory they need to go in.

Then you can modify your data/config/config.php file and add in the paths to the binary files needed to convert audio and video files.

Hope this helps!

Heart Internet customer support say... " If the package needs to be able to run binary files then I'm afraid this won't be possible on a shared web hosting server at this time. We restrict this for security reasons."

They offer a VPS for £11.99 a mouth, and I've asked it I could migrate my account to one. I'm waiting for their reply.

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

The hosting support have asked “Can you please confirm what software your developers are trying to run on this site?“
Is it simply called Jamroom Open Source, or is there a more technical name for it?
Thank you.

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

I contacted my hosting company (heartinternet.uk) about this problem, who replied - "Currently managing the website is out of our scope of support and should be looked into by your developer".

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

I have uploaded both video and audio files a number of times, but they are not converting...
What else, if anything, do I need to setup? Or is this an error?
The one on the image was posted yesterday.

Image watermarks

Using Jamroom

michael:
Its a setting that is not turned on by default.
ACP -> MODULES -> IMAGE SUPPORT -> QUOTA CONFIG -> WATERMARK

Uncheck the "Watermark Images" checkbox.

Thank you Michael!
