License ID

Installation and Configuration

Hello,
I have tried several times to release the licences of my two sites, but always get the message that the IDs are wrong. As I no longer have the sites could you please release these for me?
Thank you.

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

Intro2Music:
Arvixe was a HUGE problem for me a few years ago. They even kept taking payments from my CC for months after I asked them to close my account. (They done away with the User being able to close their own account and delete CC details).

If you do have problems with Arvixe hosting, give me a shout. I can give you hosting on one of my servers that already host Jamroom sites for my clients.

Better still, if you're not that experienced with the platform it's best to get a basic Server from the Jamroom Network. That way, all the support you'll ever need is included in the price.

I have used Arvixe previously (a couple of years ago) but I didn't have any problems. Thank you for your offer though.

Using Jamroom

I've moved my hosting for Jamroom to Arvixe.com, which has a install script for Jamroom, so I've set up a new site, and most things seem to be working except...

tifig - "models/jrSystemTools/tools/tifig"
Memory Cache - "functions are missing"

And I need to contact the hosting support at Arvixe to change the Apache PROC limits, as seem to be limited.

Using Jamroom

paul:
Go ahead and create a test site. If you click on the View Licences for the '/france' site there are no licences used. I just need to work out why its still showing.

Unfortunately, even when installed directly into public_html (not a sub-directory) the same problems occur.

Can I run my other non-jamroom sites on your Jamroom server as well as Jamroom?

Using Jamroom

Yes, it is the same host as I used previously.
What Iā€™ll try next is uploading a Jamroom test site to my existing host. But before I do that please could you remove the dead site (ringed in red) from my account, as that suggests that I am currently using two Jamroom licences, when in fact I am only using one, having surrendered one of them last year. Just the clarify, the site ā€œregal-network.com/franceā€œ is the one not used.

Thank you.

Video and audio uploads not converting

Using Jamroom

I decided in the end not to rent the VPS.
When I used Jamroom previously I didnā€™t have any problems with the video and audio converters. Maybe if I reinstall the software it would resolve the problems, and maybe not use a sub-directly? Could I move all the files to the public_html folder, or would this create major problems?

If I used your hosting, would my current Jamroom website be automatically transferred to your server? Or would it need a fresh install?

Using Jamroom

michael: Whats going to be of more of a concern for you is will they help you setup the VPS.

OK, yes they leave the user to setup and manager their our VPS, but provide a Plesk control panel (or cPanel at Ā£10 extra), which works out at GBP 17.99+20% VAT per month for the Plesk based VPS. Their managed servers work out more expensive than Jamroom. Iā€™ll look into the Plesk panel in more detail before I decide what to do.

Thank you for your help and advice, which is always appreciated. šŸ‘
