not sure where to increase Group Discuss font size

Using Jamroom

Not sure what was going on when you did that Michael .... but when I did what Paul suggested it fixed things and now the forums text and the Groups text look to be both the same, both 14pt and easy to read.

Funny, I thought to check in my skin's style files for site.css, html.css, and jrgroupdiscuss.css.... but somehow I didn't notice the text.css. Duh!

Michael I see the screenshot of what you did overlapping, and though it clearly is the same size there, I'm sure somehow the images must have been resized or something along the way. I am absolutely sure the Group posts text was more cramped and smaller- it was making me squint and was very noticable when switching between Forums and Groups discussions.
But all is well now- uniform and easy on the eyes.
I have no idea how this discrepancy happened, but I remember suddenly noticing a few weeks ago or so. I didn't make any text changes but perhaps one of the updates did something obscure.

Thank you both!

not sure where to increase Group Discuss font size

Using Jamroom

Hi,
I've noticed recently that my font size in Group discussion posts has seemed just a little smaller than the font size in my Forums discussion posts. I've looked all over the place to adjust this so they can both be the same size as in my Forums discussions, but I can't seem to find exactly where to adjust this.
Here's a screenshot from both a Forum discussion and a Group discussion... you can see the Group font is just a tiny bit smaller... but it's just smaller enough to make it harder to read without squinting (for me anyway):

BUG - Profile Avatar Looks Terrible

Using Jamroom

SoftD... the image you uploaded is 50 x 50 pixels, and file size is less than 3 kb.
As Brian said, when enlarged it's going to be completely pixelated/blurry.

My profile avatar image is 384 x 384 pixels and file size is 26 kb. I also uploaded it using the "XL" size option.
Here's how mine looks (also Ninja skin):

Banned Items - partial profile names

Using Jamroom

I agree it would be useful to adjust this to ban partial words/names. Especially since the help message does include "partial" in its description.

Discussion "Follow" icon has disappeared for standard users

Using Jamroom

This fix worked for me Paul- thank you! I'll be interested to see if it worked well for Lorna as well..?

Discussion "Follow" icon has disappeared for standard users

Using Jamroom

I'm seeing the same thing, Lorna. When logged in as Admin, I see all the Follow buttons in groups and forums.
When logged in as a regular member, I see the Follow buttons in FORUMS, but no longer see the follow buttons in Groups anywhere... which i should be seeing- to be able to not only 'follow' the Group but to also 'follow' an individual Group discussion. Used to be able to see and use them. Something has changed.

Thanks for the new Group/Forum discussions Transfer Tools Module!

Using Jamroom

I just caught wind of this when doing my module updates. This makes it way easier to: move a Forum discussion into a group instead (so it becomes a Group discussion), OR to move a Group discussion into a Forum category instead.

Before this, it was a bit difficult to locate the tools, as they were in two different locations that weren't intuitive to find.
Thanks, this is so quick, neat, and tidy! :)

new question on re-ordering gallery images

Using Jamroom

The pen did that dragging (but not dropping) only on the 'wrong' page- the page i showed in my screenshot in the previous post. On the CORRECT page (that Paul pointed me to), the pen doesn't drag or drop at all, but the mouse works fine.
Micheal I do want to be clear that I'm not referring to a modern mobile device pen. I'm using an old fashioned Wacom tablet/pen combo attached to my PC desktop on my left side, and a standard mouse on my right side. (I'm ambidextrose)
I'm not worried about it especially since my tablet/pen is about 7 yrs old anyway, kind of dated. In any case I now know where to go to re-arrange my photo gallery images. :)

new question on re-ordering gallery images

Using Jamroom

Thanks Michael- it's totally nothing important to try and work on. Sometimes I just forget that my pen doesn't work everywhere my mouse does. Plus, afterwards I was trying to drag images in the wrong window.
Marking Solved! :)

new question on re-ordering gallery images

Using Jamroom

I know what happened- I DID try dragging from that page when i was poking around... but apparently it does not work if I use my desktop's tablet pen. I just went back now and it works if I use my old fashioned mouse, but does not work if I switch to my 'drawing pen', which I use a lot as a 'mouse' when working on my computer.
Not to worry... most people don't use pens on their desktops anyway. Thanks!
