Watermark appearing on URL Scan images and Profile pictures

Using Jamroom

Ok - I think that will require considerable further investigation on my part! Thank you for looking into it.

Watermark appearing on URL Scan images and Profile pictures

Using Jamroom

I guess that would be the simple way to put it! :)

Watermark appearing on URL Scan images and Profile pictures

Using Jamroom

Well, speaking selfishly (!), I can't see why anyone would ever want it on a profile picture or an URLscan image.

Thinking ahead, although it hasn't come up, images in forum posts could end up being inappropriately watermarked, but I don't know how that could be dealt with practically.

Watermark appearing on URL Scan images and Profile pictures

Using Jamroom

Morning all,

I have reluctantly had to turn the watermarking feature on to try and deter people from appropriating images, but the watermark is appearing on profile pictures, and even more inappropriately on URLscan thumbnails. It gives the impression of taking credit for images that aren't yours but the BBC's or whoever.

Is there any fine tuning that can be done by me to filter by quota or image type?

URL Scanner - is 'https' an issue?

Using Jamroom

Ok - I know what's going on, and it's nothing to do with https. Noticed it today with a link from the BBC News iOS app. When you copy a link from an app like the BBC or Guardian, the app inserts a description before the URL it copies. When I paste this into my JR site, I position the cursor to the beginning of the URL and delete the description.

This seems to mess up URL Scan, as once the space between the last word of the description and the 'h' of 'http' is deleted, it melds that last word into the URL and tries to scan it.

Have a look at the picture attached - working up from the bottom you can see the word 'resurrect' being deleted letter by letter, and creating an URL Scan entry each time...

Hi there..you're right, I think something's up here. Just casting my mind back to two weeks ago to work out what I might have done.

URL Scanner - is 'https' an issue?

Using Jamroom

URL scanner is great - love it - but it won't resolve this page or any from this site - which resolves fine in the Facebook debugger: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/28/airports-us-immigration-ban-muslim-countries-trump

The only difference I can see between this and any other is that it's an 'https' prefix.

Pages not aligning correctly on iPad after opening Chat sidebar

Using Jamroom

This is hard to describe, but when you open the Chat sidebar on the iPad, it 'pushes' the page over to the left - I love this effect!

However, if you slide the Chat window closed, the next time you open a page, although the Chat window content doesn't appear, the page content appears in its 'pushed over' position, as in the attached photo.

Sliding the Chat window open and closed again restores the content, but then have to do that on every page you subsequently visit....
