after migration images no longer seem to copy to cache (and fail on reload)

Installation and Configuration

symptoms
edge;: 99% of images don;t work logo seems to default to an older scaled and distorted one (replaced it 3 times it was fine for a minute and returned)
firefox: all images work on 1st load (has same logo issue) clearing the caches made even icons no longer work. on reload or 2nd view no images work

permissions say rwx-rwx-rwx .. on cache flder which seems right

eerything on te servers the sane except
memcache is not yet set up
op_cache_status in disabled functions i remove it over and over save and it returns

could opcache status or memcache be the problem?

this ones really got me confused

oh only other thing that ws changed on server was ssd was put in rgt place (cache is on ssd)
media is a sata..it was ssd

5953 performance score when properly configured (and great price!)

Installation and Configuration

it is massively improved yes
it was good even when the drives were backwards
but put em in right and ..wow
faster disk io drasticly reduced cpu too (well i stil havent tuned litespeeed and adde pagespeed the pagespeed filters some add a lil cpu load as it rewrites code for faster delivery
but still expect cpu loads to be alot lower

the disk access time and databae processings so improved .. i swear the db was at like 24.something before .. and it was 100% due to being on the wrong drive

5953 performance score when properly configured (and great price!)

Installation and Configuration

because dreadlockssite is massive with over 1 tb in data/media i had a seperate drive set up as a media disk (large cheap storage)

unfortunately although the tech suport at infinitive hosting is top notch even after maybe 50 times explaining things in 50 diferent ways they put the cheap sata as the main disk and the ssd for media.. which was almost never accessed (since vids and music arent in high demand and all imzages are cached on ssd)

this was totaly backwards from what i requested and ..what made sense
after migrating to a proper setup i got a 4220 performance score
a massive improvement in evrey stat especially drive but also database (which uses the ssd)

i have not yet got redis running, nor i think set up the mysql optimizations nor reniced redis and mysql (mariadb) to run as highest priority
ive done no tuning yet except putting the right drives in the right places
and got a massive performance increase!

i only pay 144 for a 1 tb ssd (8 cores 3.5 ghz 32 gigs ram) 4 tb satas
i used to pay 4 times that much with way worse support and 1/2 or less drive space

possible odd issue with db/backup manager?

Using Jamroom

ssd solid state drive they do not spin so data access times ae about 100 tikmes faster then spinning drives but are very expensive still
sata is just a typical hard drive architechture you can get 4 terabytes cheaper then 400 gigabytes on ssd
so because dreadlockssites massive and 90% of that data is media i have the sites caches ad databases on ssd and 2 tb for media on sata i just mounted that drive at /data/media
that way i can upload vids photos and music unlimitedly without driving up the cost
vids and music are very rarely accessed so dont need a super fast drive
images as soon as they are accesed are copied to cache on the ssd so are seved as fast as possible.

unfortunately they did it backwards at 1st now i'll have an even faster server with double the space for media and another 10 years growth before needing to add more
i actualy have 4 tb sata and 4 tb external backup but i am using 2 tb internal as backup as well untill i need it

jut know ssd means up to 100 times faster acess to data from disk
sata means huge cheap storage

possible odd issue with db/backup manager?

Using Jamroom

i did and am deleting them actualy the servers being totally reconfigured right now
they had put the ssd where the sata belonged and vice versa
so media was on ssd .. duh

dashboard 500 error caused by error in newslatter? (maybe beta core bug or exploitable vulnerability)

Using Jamroom

i figured that out after examining both sites tables
might have banned a legit member dunno but that site gets alot more spammers then dreadlockssite despite gtting 1/100th the trafic

dashboard 500 error caused by error in newslatter? (maybe beta core bug or exploitable vulnerability)

Using Jamroom

found the problem! and a vulnerability
i only sent out 1 newsletter
but somehow a spammer was able to send out 18... and suppress them showing up in the datastore
and somehow that..i think.. caused the uncaught exception?
furthermore, both have the e_lid 1
all other newsletter related tables have 0 rows

can i drop these safely? i assume so
checked other site that too had 2 rows in same table both with the same id but 7 on there

so i didn't figure it out as much as i thught and hope i didn't just delete a profile that might be legit

ok i'll leave it to you to figure out

dashboard 500 error caused by error in newslatter? (maybe beta core bug or exploitable vulnerability)

Using Jamroom

further diagnosis
disabling the newsletter module fixed the 500 error and the dashboard now loads properly
i only sent 1 newsleter ever
deleting it from the datastore browser alowed the module to dbe reacttivated and the dashboard now loads

i had assumed it was an issue with the subscriber count but was wrong i guess'

corection
since it seems semi intermittent (you can sometimes get it to load once after clearing cache or after integrity test) but then on refresh won;'t load
only disabling the newsletter entirely will alow it to load every time
maybe it is an error in the count or a bug in the beta core or..something

as always will continue trying to figure it out till you can test it too

possible odd issue with db/backup manager?

Using Jamroom

i enabled it back in january then disabled it in feb
recently backups have been beii ng created on disk using 100% of drive and shutting sites down

system backuos in cron are set for only monthly now because we can't find where these backups are coming from.

plesk backup manager has nothing at all

even though cron job backup (which backs it up off the server, but does use drive space before moving files off server) is set to back it up monthly, the drive fills up and shuts down the database daily (or close to it)
i re-enabled the module, then disabled the backup options, and am deleting the hourly backups from jan/feb
then will disable and delete module

my suspicion is (lacking any other options i can find) is that the modules continuing to do backups despite being disabled
and since i never got amazon web services to work right its creating them on disk?

i know its highly doubtful but just cannot figure out any other possible cause of these backup files
