furthermore, no jrcore 6.0.5 directory when ftp
so its definitely not transferring files from marketplace to the server

geez as a test, i installed system and db backup module so its not having issues communicating with marketplace server only updating the core (about to attempt restarting mariadb)

restarting litespeed and mariadb repairing tables optimizing tables nothing has helped

hat was my instinct however YOU CAN'T you can't update thye marketplace, or anything else until the cores updated

it seems to me to be a marketplace issue? i cant be sure but tried in multiple browsers
it just keeps spinning and spinning no error message nothing in queue viewer
hence why i think its having issues transferring the files from the marketplace
other then the transfer the only operations done on servers to update the symlink .right?
(unless db fields need modifying)
i left it spinning for like 20 minutes now and ..nothing*

ps we NEED a tech support/bug report forum ..deciding between install and configure and template customization etc always leaves me putting tech support questions in random places since there is no forum category that's appropriate for posts like these.

debugging
viewed activity log saw a few invalid search criteria in jrCore_db_search_items parameters
and
slow jrCore_db_search_items query: 0.812 seconds
when i clicked "errors only' button i got a 500 error
and his appeared in error log

marketplace items sayneed to purchase liscence but update anyway

freedomswings.org on multiple modules when it says they need to be updated it says no license found purchase a license
some i believe are licensees that are multi site and therefore only had to be bought once
others i believe i purchased just for this site
the fact that it says no license, please purchase has absolutely no affect on functionality, they still work, they still update, the license should show as valid, its just cosmetic and confusing.

ps please add a tech support/bug report forum category, many bug reports or tech support requests fit in no other current categories, so get placed randomly in whatever 1 seems closest to the topic

making alt tags required in posts and galleries

thought of all that and 1 thing is the image name 1.jpg often becomes title, so maybe adding a step after upload that shows each image uploaded with a title desription and alt tag feild next to each with title and alt being required (but not auto filling in the 1.jpg)
just forcing them to set a title is a huge seo improvement let alone the alt tag
could a step 2 be added that lets you add descriptions and requires the title to be set to something other then the default filename
i dont see an easy way to add a form field for alt tag then import into the html with a smarty call

maybe this should have been moved to suggestions since doesnt seem to be an asy solution without adding that 2nd step to the galery upload process

im not sure how to do this, even with template edits.
when people add images to posts using embed media, is there any way to require an alt tag?
even trickier since photos are added in bulk to the galleries, is there any way to require alt tags for each and every photo?
accessibility is a high priority. our main audience is physically challenged, not visually, but we have had a number of visually impaired people fly with us (not as students of course) so maximum site accessibility to screen readers and all manner of assistive technologies is highly important to us.
there are other compliance issues I am working on getting you a report on, but a big bi part of accessibility is having alt tags on all major images
plus its just good seo
but for us, it goes beyond that and having alt tags as a required field when creating and editing posts and gallery photos is very important (post pages,blogs, anything that uses the text editor ..if possible if it could check for images then request a alt tag on submit, or, better yet, require 1 as you embed it)

if there were an easy way to do it at least in the gallery to start that would be a plus

i think there was something in the menu and main page search that were the biggest failure issues

hi, so my newest site is specificly for people with disabilities www.fredomswings.org
after finishing the site it was brought to my attention that it failed compliance tests
i used a few of these tests here

the results confused me however
(and some wanted 31,000 dollars for a detailed report!!)
it seemed from what i could barely understand that the main issues were with the menu (using function calls or something) and the main site search
i know you guys are extremely busy right now but if you could run some tests and add it to your todo list to fix any accessibility issues
i don't think the issues that exist are severe or will have a huge impact
i did contact these guys https://www.access-works.knowbility.org/
they offer a great free service but the testing setup was confusing to me too
they are more about working with a developer team then individual web designers

i would attempt it myself but i think its more then simple template edits
i don't think its so non compliant that theres risk of lawsuite or anything ..its fairly close i believe, but there are 2 bigger issues and a couple minor ones

profile featured playlist and ajax pagination in tabbed containers still not working right

k yes the pagination seems to only be in the combined list .. not totaly sure but the activity list does work as exspected
combined lists do not
sorry i was confusing i try to add evey detail evenif im sure its not relevent

as far as the other issue, in my post about the profile questions i added the template code
something seems to be preventingit from getting to that last iff statement which i assume was what was wrong with the profile questions that was fixed
i think maybe an ending /div was moved?
not sure why the playlist still isnt showing
