Installation and Configuration

it converted on..1 of the dev servers, wasn't yours, but if you scroll up youll see it did
so, theres no need for any codecs, any version of ffmpeg anything like that installed on the server at all?
i don't dsee anything about ffjmpeg in that guide at all
so i should just uninstall all of that the codecs and everything

ps searching remove ffmpeg or uninstall ffmpeg only gives results for how to install it
nothing for removal

Installation and Configuration

update
tested music conversion
it went extremely fast ..no trouble (only have it set to mp3 not ogg since ogg did not play at all if firefox but generated errors)
so
that narrows it down to a video codec
can't the codecs be bundled with jr ffmpeg and jr ffmpeg be configured to only use the codecs bundled in the core?

Installation and Configuration

i am using the version in jamroom
i said i have tried against both versions
the jr version process in process manager completes
but then nothing happens
also on review i cant find where that 0.6.5 versions coming from, the day i set the server up we installed 2.2
since then i installed 3.2

the jr version works closest to right but not right
they said most likely its a codec issue and i do not see codecs bundled with jr
so the jr versions not liking the codec versions i have installed
if i remove ffmpeg and all dependencies from the server will the jr version run as a standalone

but

Installation and Configuration

ok i have been trying to get help from centos support, my hosting companies support cpanel support etc etc etc

it seems like the only helpful answer came from the cpanel top tier support

what they said was that installing and compiling ffmpegs not hard its simple (even though i don't know why installing new versions several diferent ways never changed the very old outdated version number)
they said the real issues always finding the right codecs and configs to work with the ffmpeg your using

so... back to that
what codecs are required by the ffmpeg used by jamroom, what versions
any special config options

Installation and Configuration

it appears that ffmpeg is exiting properly, but no converted video shows up, it still remains in queue and, no message is added to activity log

where is it going wrong now
