An 'Heads Up'

Ning To Jamroom

Thanks Michael
I will give this a try. Would like to be able to do something ;-)). Also you talk about the C panel. Is that to be found someplace on jamroom or do I need to find that through the server?

Archive content importing in reverse order issues, & navigating that

I KNEW you guys were gonna get to the bottom of it!

Yes of COURSE happy to do a re-import if a fix is created- I'm still on a non-live test site anyway.

Big hugs to you for your efforts!

Yes, thank you for your efforts to figure this out. I will also figure out how to re-import.

As far as I can tell all my content upside down ;-(

I've checked this out, and at this time I believe the createdAt and updatedAt timestamps that Ning is including in the Archive are wrong - I'm not 100% positive, but we use the EXACT same ordering and timestamps for everything, and we only see this on SOME pages. I'm aware of it and looking into it.

Thanks!

Thank you Brian for all your help. I'm hopeful too that these things can be solved. You all are fantastic.

Thanks...for letting me know this. I just am reading some of the other posts to see what I'm missing - which seems to be quite a lot ;-)

Ok...I just found this - PageGroupConfig ;-) But I need to have some other topics in the index header....because some of these are pages. How do I add to the index?

An 'Heads Up'

Ning To Jamroom

Hi Paul

Thank you for helping me out. Looks really good and it's rewarding to see the development progress. Is there a way to reorder the posts and photos. The ones from 2008 are showing first and not the newest ones...the first members that signed up are showing first rather than the newest also the comments on the individual members profiles are the earliest to the newest.

Pam Givens:

That's the goal. Make the front section more configurable. Its still in beta right now as I work through all the issues. Once its stable by itself, then we can look to getting it into the ning focused skins.

--edit--
Beta discussion is going on here if you want to add your input:

Thanks Michael...I'm so lost on all the coding and how to create a site similar to my ning site. Doesn't have to be the same but I think it's important to my members to have a lot of the same features that they are used to. For me I want to be able to add, change and modify things without having to hire someone to help me. That defeats the purpose for me. I'm really pretty lost as to how to even begin. I've really appreciated all the help I'm getting from Paul..it's my inability to comprehend that's the problem.

Will the Easy Web Builder be available on the Ningja skin...I actually think I could figure that out - a little bit.
