A site selling stuff to non-members?

Using Jamroom

Note that you can add a custom login/signup message in the User module Global Config.

A site selling stuff to non-members?

Using Jamroom

When the user clicks "checkout" if they are not logged in then they are prompted to log in - if they don't have an account they can create one.

Any skin should work - just use the Products module.

Strumelia:
Brian, thanks!
By 'a 3rd party script'... do you mean like a separate hosted Wix site or something? Can you give an example so I understand more what that means?

Sure - Wix or any of the other 100's of hosted cart systems. Just google "sell stuff online" and I'm sure you'll see hundreds of options. I can't recommend one since I don't use any.

And by "just use a Buy Now paypal button"... do you mean I should use it on a site that's NOT a Jamroom site?

You can use PayPal buttons anywhere - there's no requirement they are on a JR site.

(I can't just add the PP buttons to my html current shirt site because it's not mobile friendly and I have to address that as well)
Thanks... sorry to take up your time with these questions.

Not being mobile friendly would be something you'd want to check with PayPal about.

To be 100% honest, creating an account to buy something is pretty much the standard now. Check out Amazon.com - you can't just buy something from them without having an account. Have your users told you that creating an account is a hassle or do you just feel that would be the case? Jamroom's cart makes it pretty easy as it is integrated into the checkout flow.

AudioPro Skin - Advertisements?

Design and Skin Customization

Correct - there are no skin settings to automate the adding of ads to the templates - you'd need to add your template ad code your self.

Are you sure they are not in a quota that is setup to require approval of items?

Using Jamroom

You're best bet is to find a 3rd party script that can do this for you, or just use a "buy now" PayPal button. Jamroom requires an account for several reasons, and there are no plans to change that.

Sorry!

Jamroom Sites Slow on Dedicated Server

Proxima

If your load average is above 20, you have something else going on. A Jamroom integrity check will use ONE process, and even if it consumes 100% if that CPU your load would only be about .16 (1/8th of 100%).

So you have some serious servers issues not related to Jamroom.

Web/HTML version for newsletter?

Suggestions

Yeah we can support this - this has actually been on my todo list, it's just not made it into a release yet. We'll check it out.

Thanks!
