Audio Cover Image Size

Using Jamroom

There's no bug here that I am aware. Please post the URL to the image you feel is not being displayed right.

You can use any dimension you want. I'd recommend just using crop=square on it to make sure it is square. Yes - some images will have areas that get cut off, but that's what happens when you crop an image.

Thanks!

Proxima API file Downloading Problem

Proxima

And just to double check - you are NOT using the master key in this scenario - it is a file that has been uploaded by the same profile_id that is trying to download it? Was the file created on the JR side or on the Proxima side?

Thanks!

SoftDesigns:
Without any guide to image sizes, this seems to make JR harder a bit harder to use than it should be.

You're right - this is a hard problem, and if you think about it for a bit you'll see there is no "just make it look awesome all the time" way to handle images. Like Michael pointed out above, you'll get images of all sizes and aspect ratios, so you're going to have weird shaped images if you do not do cropping. This is why you'll see that we crop to square/portrait in so many places, since it provides for a uniform layout and look. However, you run the risk of an image being cropped to square and cutting off an important part of the image if the image is really tall and skinny or short and wide. There's no way around this since Jamroom does not inspect the CONTENT of the image in any way.

To be 100% honest I would recommend that you just don't worry about it - 95%+ of your images will look fine, and for the few that don't if you really need them to be changed, then as an admin user:

- download the image
- fix it in an image editor
- re-upload it

I'm not sure what you mean by "cut off" - JR doesn't cut off any image unless you're specifically applying a "crop" parameter. Please link to an example if you have one.

Thanks!

Stream Pay Question

Jamroom Developers

This is working in version 1.1.0 of the Stream Pay module:

https://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-network/networkmarket/245/profile-stream-pay

Note that it now requires the Payment Support module, as that handles all the centralized accounting. On a daily basis during the maintenance window, any profile with a balance that exceeds $1 will have an entry created in the Payment Support "payments" tab and will become available for payout.

Issue With PayPal Address In Profile

Jamroom Developers

The PayPal email address is stored as part of the profile info, so won't be removed. Make sure you do not have BOTH Payment Support and PayPal Buy It Now enabled on the same quota - otherwise it won't work.

Stream Pay Question

Jamroom Developers

Looking at this it looks like we will have to make some changes in the module in order for it to work with the new Payments module. The new payments module uses a centralized "register" for profile payouts, wheres this module is incrementing a profile's profile_balance field. We will need to come up with a tool that transfers a profile's balance into the register so it can be paid out.

I'll check it out.

emdiamond:
This is odd as well, Went to change my password in the Admin panel and get this Message:
"The email address you entered is already being used by another account"
The email is correct but the System won't let me change password because of this.

This means there is already another account in the system using the email address you are trying to change to.
